Brand Strategy

A system that moves with nature.

Annual Framework

Every seasonal shift creates a business moment.

Spring · Renew

Sage, blush, cream. Refresh routines and reintroduce gentle renewal.

Summer · Brighten

Citrus, butter yellow, sky. Lead with light and protection.

Fall · Restore

Amber, olive, fig, espresso. Shift toward nourishment and connection.

Winter · Protect

Stone, deep green, icy blue. Focus on hydration and barrier support.

Why It Works

Seasonality becomes strategy, not decoration.

Reintroduce

Existing products gain renewed relevance as the environment changes.

Educate

Environmental shifts create useful, credible skincare conversations.

Convert

Bundles, routines and launches arrive with a built-in reason to care now.

Collaboration Platform

Seasonal packaging becomes cultural currency.

Summersby Editions invites artists to translate each season into a collectible box, creating a reason to return, share, display and remember the launch.

Artist partnership

Commission original work, credit the artist prominently and support the collaboration with interviews and studio content.

Limited, not wasteful

Use numbered outer cartons, recyclable stocks and an unchanged refillable core bottle so collectibility does not require unnecessary product variation.

Collector behavior

Create an online archive, early access for returning collectors and optional framed prints or artist-signed sets.

Audience and Objective

Made for the years when identity is still unfolding.

Summersby primarily speaks to adults in their early 20s through late 40s who value quality skincare, thoughtful design and the feeling of a life well lived.

Introduce Summersby through a distinctive world of New York light, fall rituals and recognizable emotional moments.

Interest

Build curiosity around formulation, craftsmanship, artist packaging and the quality of the product experience.

Desire

Use nostalgia, intimacy and seasonal storytelling to make the serum feel connected to the life the audience wants to inhabit.

Creative Insight

Fall feels like returning to a favorite episode.

The campaign borrows the emotional rhythm of 1990s and early-2000s ensemble television and fall romantic comedies: friends gathering in familiar apartments, getting ready before going out, coffee walks, takeout on the couch, city streets at dusk and conversations reflected in bathroom mirrors.

The goal is not to recreate a particular show. It is to evoke the comfort, wit, friendship and romantic possibility audiences associate with that era.

Friends gathered around a table in a warm apartment with wine and art supplies01

The apartment

Cozy lamps, art-covered walls, half-finished wine and friends moving between rooms.

A brownstone stoop dressed with pumpkins, fallen leaves along the sidewalk02

The city

Brownstones, coffee cups, changing leaves and golden light before evening plans.

Two friends talking at a bathroom mirror while doing their skincare03

The ritual

Skincare applied while talking, laughing, getting dressed or waiting for the takeout to arrive.

The serum bottle on a bedside table lit by a candle and a warm lamp04

The feeling

Familiar, aspirational and emotionally warm, like a fall romantic comedy you already love.

The Golden Hours Drop

Golden hour means something different in every life. Summersby invites creators and customers to capture their own version of it, from a quiet morning routine to the hour before dinner with friends.

01

Moms and caregivers

Real routines in the in-between hours: skincare before the house wakes up, getting ready while children play nearby, or reclaiming ten quiet minutes at sunset.

02

Young couples

A boyfriend and girlfriend doing skincare together, cuddled up with takeout, or getting ready side by side before an evening out.

03

Friends and chosen family

Passing the serum across a bathroom counter, sharing it during a girls’ night, and capturing glow across different ages and phases of life.

Community Prompt

Show us your golden hour.

Creators interpret the campaign in their own visual language. Sunrise, sunset, apartment light, car-window light, kitchen light, or the glow of getting ready together all belong within the idea.
